Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary has asked officials to equip govt schools with modern facilities and strengthen their academic environment to prepare students for competitive examinations.

Choudhary issued the directions while attending a parent-teacher meeting at Govt Middle School, Ramjichak, under Danapur in Patna district. He reviewed teaching arrangements, attendance, examination results and facilities, and interacted with students, parents and teachers.

He directed education department officials to prepare a plan from next year to make computer education compulsory in all govt schools. He suggested one instructor for every two to three schools. He said online teachers and live classes had been provided at model schools at around 700 locations across Bihar.

Education minister Mithilesh Tiwari and cooperative minister-cum-Danapur MLA Ram Kripal Yadav were present.

Choudhary said regular parent-teacher meetings should improve education quality, ensure teacher availability and 100% attendance, besides identifying students needing additional support.

He also reviewed the statewide ‘Seva Chitra’ competition under the ‘Mere Sapnon ka Bharat-Seva Chitra’ campaign and appreciated students’ work on themes including Viksit Bharat-2047, solar energy, metro trains, robots and Sapnon ka Bharat.
