Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh and Australia on Saturday signed four MoUs aimed at promoting clean energy, advanced manufacturing, inclusive education, student mental health and skill development. The agreements were signed in the presence of HRD minister Nara Lokesh and Australian assistant minister for International education and citizenship, customs and multicultural affairs Julian Hill MP.The first MoU brings together the state govt’s Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition (CoEET), IIT Tirupati and the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, to establish a Centre of Excellence for Solar Manufacturing at IIT Tirupati. The second MoU was signed between UNSW, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam and Samagra Shiksha to strengthen inclusive education across Andhra Pradesh.
Another MoU focuses on student mental health and well-being. Under the partnership, the APSCHE and Australian organisation Rebound will implement a technology-enabled pilot project across selected higher educational institutions. The fourth MoU was signed between the APSSDC and Australia’s Dynamic Learning Services. The collaboration aims to strengthen vocational education, industry-oriented skill training, globally recognised certifications and international employment pathways.
