TGPSC makes OTR update mandatory

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has asked all registered candidates to update and verify their One Time Registration (OTR) details before applying for upcoming recruitment notifications. The Commission said that only candidates who complete the OTR update process will be allowed to submit applications for future posts. The earlier deadline has been extended to February 25, 2026. The move comes after changes in Scheduled Castes categorisation and repeated requests from candidates to correct personal and educational details. TGPSC has made it clear that OTR data will be treated as the primary record during the recruitment process. Candidates must log in to the official website and complete the verification within the given time.

TGPSC OTR update mandatory for future applications

TGPSC has made the OTR update compulsory for all candidates who have already registered on its portal. The Commission stated in its official web notification that OTR data will be used as the base record for all upcoming recruitment notifications.The update window began on January 19, 2026. It was earlier scheduled to close on February 9, but the deadline has now been extended to February 25, 2026. Candidates who fail to update and verify their details will not be able to apply for future TGPSC recruitments.The Commission said the decision was taken in view of changes in Scheduled Castes categorisation and to ensure that candidate records remain accurate and complete.

What candidates must check and upload

Candidates must verify their personal details such as name, date of birth, gender and address. They must also update educational qualifications and category details wherever required. Relevant certificates and a recent colour passport-size photograph must be uploaded.TGPSC has clarified that each candidate should have only one OTR. Multiple registrations are not allowed.Most fields in the OTR form cannot be edited. Only specific sections such as additional qualifications, correspondence address, EWS status, Non-Creamy Layer details, mobile number and email ID can be modified. All other entries will remain locked.

How to complete the process

Candidates must visit the official TGPSC website and log in using their credentials. After reviewing the details, they need to confirm and submit the updated information within the deadline.TGPSC has advised applicants to complete the process early to avoid last-minute technical issues. The Commission said no further requests will be entertained after the deadline.The OTR update is now a compulsory step for anyone planning to apply for future TGPSC job notifications.
